How My Journey Began

I’m Peter Horvath, founder of Horvath & Partners. My path into the insurance world began not with a career goal but with confusion.

I was born and raised in Hungary, where government-provided healthcare is the norm. When I moved to Georgia, the U.S. health insurance system felt completely foreign. I found myself asking the same questions many Americans do:

Which company should I choose? What’s covered? What’s not? How do networks even work?

Navigating that confusion firsthand made one thing clear: insurance decisions have a major impact on every family’s finances. And without the right information, people are left exposed, especially seniors.

One of my first eye-opening moments came when I helped a neighbor understand her Medicare coverage. She was completely overwhelmed. The terms, the timelines, the penalties were too much. I realized then that she wasn’t alone. So many seniors feel lost when trying to make sense of Medicare.

That’s what inspired me to get licensed as a life and health insurance agent in Georgia in 2016 and build a practice focused on education, clarity, and personalized guidance.
